Something to Sing About
Everything starts with a dream, mine was always to create. Welcome to my journey.
My name is Andrew Conn, and from a young age I was fascinated with water. Water brings life, water brings peace, water brings change. It falls from the sky and runs through the land. There’s a music to water, a song.
After a very brief college experience I moved to Wyoming and became a chef, cooking in and around Jackson Hole. I didn’t expect to build a career out of food, but I loved the idea of being a small part of so many people’s lives in such a simple and profound way. I may not have sat at their tables, but I got to be a part of so many moments for my guests simply by cooking the food that they gathered over.
My father started keeping bees several years ago as a hobby to share with his friends. Along his journey I learned that there’s a deep peace in the partnership that bees and humans have shared for thousands of years. And not just peace, there’s music to it. When I helped him with his hives I listened to the bees and learned that the sounds of the hive can teach you a lot about how the bees are doing and what they need.
Located just outside Gray, Georgia, at Song Water Farms we’re committed to bringing honest craftmanship and integrity to everything that we do. From our raw local honey, to the mead we make on the farm, to the sauces and seasonings I used throughout my career as a chef, I hope that you find as much joy in our products and services as I do in their creation.
